The second severe weather outlook that came out a few hours ago was completely different from the first one much earlier this morning. The moderate risk was taken out, the slight risk was moved south and now only effects areas south of US Hwy 20. An earlier video that was made has since been deleted. The risks are about the same as they were when the video was made, but the risks are slightly less, and the wind event is likely to stay south of Interstate 80, if it happens at all, given the amount of showers and thunderstorms that have formed throughout the morning hours. There has already been a few warnings in western Iowa and also in far SE Iowa this morning. Currently there is numerous lines of showers and thunderstorms crossing the state. At this time, none of them appear to be severe, but that could change later, but I’m thinking the longer the current rain stays over the state, the chances of severe weather will continue to drop.
