The Storm Prediction Center has issued a Severe Thunderstorm Watch effective until 2am Thursday morning for the following counties, Adair, Adams, Black Hawk, Boone, Bremer, Butler, Cass, Clarke, Dallas, Decatur, Grundy, Guthrie, Hamilton, Hardin, Jasper, Lucas, Madison, Marion, Marshall, Polk, Poweshiek, Ringgold, Story, Tama, Taylor, Union and Warren.

Thunderstorms, some of them severe continue to move through the state this evening. The main threat has been strong straightline winds of 60-70mph. Large hail is also possible with these storms as well. Heavy rain is also possible.
