Rain, some of it moderate to heavy at times continues across the state in a scattered fashion this afternoon. The largest concentration of rain was located from around Manchester and Independence southwestward to Grinnell and Newton. Flash Flood Watches remain in effect for a number of counties until Tuesday morning along with a number of rivers that are still under (or have been placed under) river flood warnings. At least 1-2 inches of rain have fallen just since Midnight in a swath from near Des Moines to Cedar Rapids. Along with the 1-2 inches that fell in some places on Sunday, and with more rain to come through Tuesday morning, another inch of rain is possible in the next 12-24 hours.
