The western half of the state is seeing a fairly wet day. Already some locales in SW Iowa have already received an inch plus of rain, while the eastern sections of the state have yet to see a drop. Currently this afternoon, the main batch of rain was over the northern into central and SW Iowa. It is slowly moving to the east. Rainfall up to an inch is possible with this rain and embedded thunderstorms through Midnight mainly east of Interstate 35, with “another” half to three quarters of an inch possible to the west. More heavy rain is also in store again tonight and Monday as well. Still looks like a widespread 2-4 inch rainfall across the state with some higher totals possible. Firework Displays tonight maybe questionable in some places.
