…TORNADO NEAR SIBLEY IOWA RATED EF4…
A SUPERCELL THAT DEVELOPED ON THE EVENING OF JUNE 25 IN WESTERN NOBLES COUNTY MINNESOTA AND MOVED INTO FAR NORTHERN IOWA PRODUCED A TORNADO WHICH RESULTED IN SIGNIFICANT DAMAGE AROUND LITTLE ROCK IOWA AND SIBLEY IOWA. SEVERAL BUILDING AND HOMES SUSTAINED SIGNIFICANT DAMAGE NEAR THESE COMMUNITIES.
A NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE ON SITE SURVEY HAS RATED THE TORNADO AS EF4. THE TORNADO TOUCHED DOWN WEST OF LITTLE ROCK IOWA AND MOVED EAST SOUTHEAST. THE TORNADO PRODUCED EF1 TO EF2 DAMAGE WEST SOUTHWEST OF LITTLE ROCK. AS THE TORNADO CONTINUED TO MOVE EAST SOUTHEAST…IT STRENGTHENED REACHING A MAXIMUM STRENGTH OF EF4 TWO MILES WEST SOUTHWEST OF SIBLEY.
