DICKINSON COUNTY IN NORTHWEST IOWA
EASTERN LYON COUNTY IN NORTHWEST IOWA
O’BRIEN COUNTY IN NORTHWEST IOWA
OSCEOLA COUNTY IN NORTHWEST IOWA
SIOUX COUNTY IN NORTHWEST IOWA

* AT 929 PM CDT…NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE DOPPLER RADAR INDICATED THUNDERSTORMS WITH VERY HEAVY RAINFALL ACROSS THE WARNED AREA. RAINFALL RATES OF UP TO 3 INCHES PER HOUR MAY BE POSSIBLE WITH THESE STORMS.

* RUNOFF FROM THIS EXCESSIVE RAINFALL WILL CAUSE FLASH FLOODING TO OCCUR. SOME LOCATIONS THAT WILL EXPERIENCE FLOODING INCLUDE… ORANGE CITY…SPENCER…SPIRIT LAKE AND OKOBOJI.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS…

EXCESSIVE RUNOFF FROM HEAVY RAINFALL WILL CAUSE FLOODING OF SMALL CREEKS AND STREAMS…URBAN AREAS…HIGHWAYS…STREETS AND UNDERPASSES AS WELL AS OTHER DRAINAGE AREAS AND LOW LYING SPOTS.
