The Storm Prediction Center has issued a Severe Thunderstorm Watch effective until 8am this morning for the following counties, Adair, Adams, Audubon, Boone, Carroll, Cass, Crawford, Dallas, Greene, Guthrie, Madison, Ringgold, Taylor, Union, Fremont, Harrison, Mills, Monona, Montgomery, Page, Pottawattamie and Shelby.

Thunderstorms currently moving through Nebraska and Kansas early this morning are expected to quickly move into the state by around 3am. The main threats will be large hail and damaging straight line wind gusts up to 70mph. Along with the severe weather, heavy rain is also possible which could lead to some localized flash flooding.
