River Flood Warnings as of Saturday Evening (6/19/10)

Here are the current river flood warnings that are in effect as of this evening. Some of these rivers are not currently flooding, but with more possible heavy rain in the forecast Sunday and Monday, the NWS has gone ahead and issued some river flood warnings antcipating the possible heavy rain threat.

It is also of note that a Flash Flood Watch is in effect from very early Sunday morning through Monday afternoon for most of the state (only the far SW and the extreme northern tiers of counties are not in the watch). Another 1-2 inches or more of rain is expected between now and Monday afternoon, this could not only lead to the flash flooding threat, but also more rises in area rivers and streams as indicated earlier in this post.
