The Storm Prediction Center has issued a Severe Thunderstorm watch effective until 3am Friday morning for the following counties, Benton, Buchanan, Cedar, Clinton, Delaware, Dubuque, Iowa, Jackson, Johnson, Jones, Keokuk, Linn, Muscatine, Scott, Washington, Adair, Adams, Appanoose, Audubon, Black Hawk, Boone, Bremer, Butler, Carroll, Cass, Clarke, Crawford, Dallas, Davis, Decatur, Franklin, Greene, Grundy, Guthrie, Hamilton, Hardin, Humboldt, Jasper, Lucas, Madison, Mahaska, Marion, Marshall, Monroe, Polk, Poweshiek, Ringgold, Story, Tama, Taylor, Union, Wapello, Warren, Wayne, Webster and Wright. A line of thunderstorms (some of them severe) continues moving through the western into the central portions of the state this evening. Large hail and especially damaging straight line winds will be the main threats with these storms as they move to the east between 35-45mph.
