Flash Flood Watch Tonight into Tomorrow

A Flash Flood Watch has been issued from 1am until 11am tomorrow for the following counties, Adair, Audubon, Calhoun, Carroll, Cass, Crawford, Emmet, Greene, Guthrie, Humboldt, Kossuth, Palo Alto, Pocahontas, Sac and Webster. There is also a Flash Flood Watch in effect from 1am-10am for the following counties, Buena Vista, Cherokee, Clay, Dickinson, Ida, Lyon, OBrien, Osceola, Plymouth, Sioux, and Woodbury. And finally, a flash flood watch is in effect from 7pm this evening until 7am tomorrow morning for the following counties, Harrison, Monona, Pottawattamie, and Shelby.

Heavy rain has fallen over the last few days leading to saturated soils. Another complex of showers and thunderstorms is expected to move across the state later tonight into tomorrow morning. Rainfall of 1-3 inches is possible with any storms that move through which may lead to quick rises to any area creeks and streams.
