All of Iowa, Severe Weather

Severe Weather Risk Again on Tuesday

There is a slight risk of severe weather for Tuesday and Tuesday night for areas in Iowa south of a Omaha to Jefferson to Bellevue line. The main threats from any thunderstorms that form will be large hail, damaging winds and possibly a tornado or two.

Thunderstorms are expected to move into the state later this morning, they are currently over Nebraska. This MCS will move into the southern part of the state likely producing some hail and wind (mostly non-severe as it will likely be weakening as it moves into the state) Storms will again refire along a front that is over the southern part of the state along any leftover boundaries from the MCS that will move through this morning. Along with the severe weather, heavy rain is possible south of Interstate 80 where a heavy rain is possible.
