All of Iowa, Flooding

Flash Flood Watch Tonight

Flash Flood Watch Thru Thursday Morning

A Flash Flood Watch has been issued from this evening into tomorrow morning for the southern portions of the state. Rainfall from this system is expected to be between 1-2 inches in the Flash Flood watch area. Flash Flooding will be possible later tonight into early tomorrow morning from these storms. Outside of the watch area, rainfall will be under an inch with some isolated heavier totals in any thunderstorms that move over. Severe Weather is not expected at this time as the SPC’s outlook doesn’t not include any of Iowa, but this may change later this morning into the afternoon hours.

The rain will move out of the state by midday to early afternoon on Thursday, along with the rain, the colder than average temperatures will move out as well with warmer and more May-Like temperatures returning for the weekend into next week.
