* AT 1028 PM CDT…NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE DOPPLER RADAR INDICATED THUNDERSTORMS WITH HEAVY RAINS OVER CLARK AND SCOTLAND COUNTIES IN NORTHEAST MISSOURI. MORE HEAVY RAIN PRODUCING THUNDERSTORMS WERE DEVELOPING TO THE SOUTHWEST OVER NORTH CENTRAL MISSOURI. THE THUNDERSTORMS WERE MOVING NORTHEAST AND WILL MOVE THE THROUGH THE WARNED AREA THE REST OF THIS EVENING AND EARLY THURSDAY MORNING. THE STORMS WILL BE MOVING OVER AREAS WHERE THE GROUND IS SATURATED FROM RAINFALL DURING THE PAST SEVERAL DAYS.

BE ESPECIALLY CAUTIOUS AT NIGHT WHEN IT IS HARDER TO RECOGNIZE THE DANGERS OF FLOODING…ESPECIALLY WHILE DRIVING.
FLOODING OF SMALL STREAMS AND CREEKS…HIGHWAYS AND STREETS…UNDERPASSES AND LOW LYING URBAN AND RURAL AREAS IS LIKELY.
