Severe Weather South of 34 This Evening

Severe Weather Threat for Thursday

There is a slight risk of severe weather, mainly for this afternoon and this evening for areas in Iowa south of US Hwy 34. Large hail will be the main threat with these storms as they will be developing along and north of a warm front that will be situated from the Nebraska Kansas border eastward into northern Missouri. Non-Severe Thunderstorms will be possible north of US Hwy 34 overnight, with amounts generally ranging between 0.25-1.25 inches (The heaviest rain being in thunderstorms in the south).

The rain and thunderstorms will last into the first part of Friday before moving off to the east, leaving behind much cooler weather and possible frost on Saturday and again on Sunday morning.
