The Storm Prediction Center has issued a slight risk of severe weather for Friday and Friday night for the eastern half of the state. This is mainly along and east of Interstate 35. The main threats will be large hail and damaging winds along with tornadoes being a possibility mainly before sunset. Thunderstorms are expected to refire along the advancing cold front in central Iowa this afternoon and moving E/NE between 40-55mph, so heavy rain and flooding will not be an issue.
