The Storm Prediction Center has issued a Severe Thunderstorm Watch in effect until 3am Friday morning for the following counties, Adair, Adams, Audubon, Boone, Calhoun, Carroll, Cass, Cerro Gordo, Crawford, Dallas, Franklin, Greene, Guthrie, Hamilton, Hardin, Sac, Story, Webster and Wright.

Thunderstorms have developed along the cold front and have been racing NE at 45-55 mph. Hail up to the size of golf balls, winds over 60mph will be possible in the watch area through 3am.
