* AT 556 PM CDT…NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE DOPPLER RADAR INDICATED A SEVERE THUNDERSTORM CAPABLE OF PRODUCING PING PONG BALL SIZE HAIL…AND DESTRUCTIVE WINDS IN EXCESS OF 70 MPH. THIS STORM WAS LOCATED NEAR PLEASANTVILLE…OR 24 MILES SOUTHEAST OF DES MOINES…AND MOVING NORTHEAST AT 45 MPH.
