The Storm Prediction Center has issued a Severe Thunderstorm Watch in effect until 3pm this afternoon for Appanoose, Davis and Wayne Counties. Thunderstorms are currently moving through northern Missouri this morning and may move into the extreme southern tier of counties later this morning into the early afternoon hours. Strong Gusty winds will likely be the major threat with these storms with some small non-severe hail possible as well.

NOTE: Watch has been expanded to include Jasper, Lucas, Mahaska, Marion, Monroe, Polk, Poweshiek, Wapello and Warren.
