A Winter WX Advisory is in effect in the southern most counties of the state (mainly south of I-80) from this evening through Saturday afternoon (except in extreme SE Iowa where it’s in effect until Midnight Sunday morning)

Snow Accumulations of 2-5 inches of snow will be possible in the advisory area with the heaviest totals closer to the Iowa Missouri border. Lighter amounts under 2 inches will be possible north of I-80.
