Very Snowy through early Monday

Winter Storm Warnings continue through Monday for most of the southern part of the state with Winter WX Advisories along the northern fringe. Winter Storm Warnings include the following counties, Fremont, Mills, Montgomery and Page from Midnight tonight until 6am Monday. Adams, Appanoose, Clarke, Davis, Decatur, Lucas, Mahaska, Marion, Monroe, Ringgold, Taylor, Union, Wapello, Warren and Wayne counties, from 6am Sunday morning until 6am Monday morning. Des Moines, Henry, Jefferson, Keokuk, Lee, Louisa, Van Buren and Washington counties from Noon Sunday afternoon until 6pm Monday evening. Benton, Cedar, Clinton, Dubuque, Iowa, Jackson, Johnson, Jones, Linn, Muscatine and Scott from 3pm Sunday evening until Monday evening at 6pm.

Winter WX Advisories are in effect until Monday for Buchanan, Delaware, Adair, Cass, Dallas, Jasper, Madison, Marshall, Polk, Poweshiek, Tama, Audubon, Guthrie, Story, Harrison, Pottawattamie and Shelby counties.

Snowfall amounts in the warning area by the time the snow ends on Monday will be in the amount 6-10 inches, with lighter amounts in the advisory area to the north. Road conditions are slowly becoming snow covered across the southern part of the state this evening and will continue through Monday. Be aware of changing conditions over the next 24-48 hours as this storm moves through.
