Guthrie, Cass, Adair, Madison, Adams, Union, Clarke, Lucas, Taylor, Ringgold, Decatur, Wayne until 9pm
Dallas, Polk, Jasper, Poweshiek, Warren, Marion, Mahaska, Monroe, Wapello, Appanoose and Davis until Midnight

* SHORT TERM TRENDS…EXPECT SNOW TO GRADUALLY SPREAD INTO THE DES MOINES METRO AREA BY MIDDAY AND AREAS TO THE EAST OF DES MOINES EARLY THIS AFTERNOON. ACCUMULATIONS BY MID AFTERNOON OF 1 TO 3 INCHES ARE EXPECTED.

* TIMING…HEAVIEST SNOWFALL IS EXPECTED FROM 3 PM TO 5 PM THIS AFTERNOON WITH SNOW DIMINISHING BY MIDNIGHT.

* STORM TOTAL ACCUMULATIONS…3 TO 5 INCHES.

* IMPACTS…EXPECT CONDITIONS TO DETERIORATE QUICKLY THIS AFTERNOON AS SNOW MOVES INTO THE AREA FROM THE SOUTHWEST.
