The chances of snow this weekend are very slight but are out there as of this afternoon. A weak system will move to the south of the state on Friday, which will bring some light snow showers to mainly the southern parts of the state. Another stronger storm will move south of the state late on Saturday into Sunday. Most of the precipitation with that storm is expected to stay in Missouri and Illinois, but some light snow is still possible in Iowa at that time. However, it’s still too early to tell how much snow will fall from these systems, but it looks like it will be light.
