Advisories Issued in Western Iowa

The National Weather Service has issued a Winter Weather Advisory beginning at Noon on Thursday through Noon on Friday for the following counties, Fremont, Harrison, Mills, Monona, Montgomery, Page, Pottawattamie and Shelby. There is also a Winter Weather Advisory in effect from Noon Thursday until 6pm Friday for Plymouth and Woodbury counties, and from 4pm Thursday afternoon until 6pm Friday for Buena Vista, Cherokee, Clay, Dickinson, Ida, Lyon, OBrien, Osceola and Sioux counties.

Snow will begin by midday on Thursday will last through Friday afternoon. Accumulations are likely to be between 3-5 inches of snow with some isolated heavier totals possible. Advisories may be issued further east later tonight and tomorrow morning, but snow amounts will be lighter the farther east you are in the state.
