Accumulating Snow Beginning to End

Most of the accumulating snow is over the eastern portions of the state late this evening, with only a few light snow showers occurring in the NW and NC parts of the state. 1-3 inch snow totals have been common across the state from this storm system. Roads have become snow covered in many places, but this is nothing compared to last week’s storm as there is little wind occurring. Take it slow and steady if you are going to be out later this evening into the early morning hours. Roads, especially the untreated ones or the rural roads will likely be still hazardous tomorrow morning. Only a few light flurries will be possible early, especially in the east, otherwise skies will become partly cloudy throughout the day from west to east. Temperatures tomorrow will be in the 20s to the lower 30s as there is little arctic cold following this storm system. The next storm will move in Thursday with another chance of snow at that time through the early portions of the upcoming weekend.
