Some filtered sunshine continues across the state today. A few radar returns across southwestern Iowa may yield a flurry but nothing more than that. Temperatures today will be in the teens and 20s, with the same type of weather again on Sunday.
The next storm system is expected to move in Monday, with widespread chances of 1-3 inches of snow, with isolated heavier totals possible. This will be nothing like the blizzard of last week, but road conditions will be impacted throughout the day Monday into the morning rush hour of Tuesday. The storm will move out of the state early on Tuesday, with near average temperatures for late January expected. Highs will remain in the 20s with nighttime lows generally in the teens with a few of the colder locations dropping into the single digits. Another swath of snow is expected by late next week with another chance of some rain and or snow.
