Light snow continues in parts of the state late this afternoon. Temperatures have risen into the 20s and lower 30s across the state. However, a cold front is moving into the northwestern part of the state. Temperatures have dropped into the teens in Sioux City with a northwest wind at 25mph, creating wind chills below zero. This will mark the beginning of a series of cold waves that will continue into the weekend and next week. Highs will struggle to reach the teens with nighttime lows, depending on sky conditions, being at or well below the zero mark.
