Road Conditions this morning in the western half of the state are terrible. US Highway 6 is closed from Council Bluffs to US Hwy 59. IA Hwy 141 from near Mapleton to Ute is also closed.
The following Highways are “Travel Not Advised” and in most cases a tow ban is in effect.

US Hwy 71
US Hwy 75
US Hwy 69 from Ames to Des Moines
US Hwy 169 from near Ogden to Missouri Border
US Hwy 30 from Grand Junction to Missouri River
US Hwy 20 from west of Rockwell City to Sioux City
US Hwy 18 from near Emmetsburg to South Dakota Border
IA Hwy 3 from US 71 to South Dakota Border
IA Hwy 4 from IA hwy 3 to Minnesota Border
IA Hwy 60
The rest of the state has partly to mostly covered road conditions. The southeastern 1/3rd of the state still has wet roads, as temperatures there are still well above freezing. When the colder air does arrive in the southeastern and eastern parts otf the state, some icy patches may develop on the roads as temperatures drop below freezing.
