Christmas Week Storm 2009: Wed PM Updates #2

A flood watch has now been issued beginning at 6am Thursday morning and will be in effect until 6am Friday morning for the following counties, Appanoose, Black Hawk, Clarke, Davis, Decatur, Jasper, Lucas, Mahaska, Marion, Marshall, Monroe, Polk, Poweshiek, Tama, Wapello, Warren, Wayne and the counties mentioned in earlier posts.

Winter Storm Warnings continue for all counties mentioned earlier, along with the additions of Audubon and Guthrie counties.

Ice accumulations have been approaching a quarter to a half inch in some places between I-80 and US Hwy 20 mainly east of I-35.

Travel has become seriously impacted across the northern part of the state. Here is a list of roads that are designated as “Travel Not Advised”
