Nearly Entire State under Winter Storm Watch

The entire state except for Lyon and Osceola counties in NW Iowa are under a Winter Storm Watch for the storm set to move in early Tuesday morning and lasting through Wednesday. Accumulations will range with the second storm from 4 inches in the NW to as much as a foot or more. A Blizzard watch is also in effect for NE Iowa including Mitchell, Winneshiek, Allamakee, Floyd, Chickasaw, Fayette and Clayton counties. Blizzard conditions will be possible in not only the watch area, but statewide late Tuesday into Wednesday with winds possibly gusting over 30-40mph. Tonight’s event will only bring 1-4 inches of snow across the state.
