Big Storm Next Week

Only a few flurries or snow showers continue over the state this afternoon. This will continue through the evening hours before dissipating. A few slippery spots can be expected but the DOT are treating the main roads, so there shouldn’t be too much of a problem. The storm to worry about however is one that will come in two pieces next week. The first will bring a swath of snow to the state late on Sunday into Monday. A inch or two is possible with that storm. The big event is likely to move in Tuesday into Wednesday, with significant accumulations possible. It’s too early to determine how much snow will fall from that storm, or where the heaviest band of snow will set up. Watches and warnings will likely be issued this weekend for the upcoming storm. Stay tuned.
