Some scattered rain showers are moving through the state this afternoon. The rain may be heavy at times, but isn’t expected to last very long. The heaviest rain was falling across central Iowa and across the eastern part of the state. Amounts up to a half inch will be possible through tomorrow morning. The rain is expected to continue Wednesday as well, with the rain mixing with and possibly changing to snow. Accumulations will be light with only a dusting likely by Thanksgiving morning. Travel will not be impacted greatly. Cooler weather will move in after Thanksgiving with highs in the 30s and 40s and lows in the 20s.
