The rain that fell this morning and overnight has moved off to the east of the state. Skies have begun to clear in the western 2/3rds of the state this afternoon, which has boosted readings into the lower to middle 50s in western Iowa. The eastern side is still socked in with clouds and temperatures in the 40s. Skies will clear completely out tonight with readings dropping into the 30s overnight. Tuesday will see a break from any rainfall, with highs in the upper 40s to lower and middle 50s. Rain returns to the state late Tuesday night through early Friday, with the best chances coming Wednesday night through Thursday.
