A cold front is currently sweeping across the state late this afternoon. With it, very windy conditions have been occurring all afternoon across the western part of the state. Winds have gusted over 40mph as cooler and much drier air is rushing in from the northwest. A Wind Advisory is in effect in western and NE Iowa currently. The front will move out of the state this evening and the wind will slacken off a little, but winds will still be blowing between 10-20 mph with gusts over 30 mph possible. Monday will be much cooler than it was today, with temperatures in the 60s, unlike the readings today where a few locations have surpassed 80. The next chance of rain will move in late on Thursday through Friday.
