Today, was a trip to Paramount Studios, and then a trip to the Los Angeles Zoo. Like every other morning, the marine layer had clouded over the sky, but by the time we arrived at mid-morning at Paramount Studios, it had burned off. We took a side trip (also known as getting lost) to Glendale while on our way to the L.A. Zoo (located just west of Glendale in Griffith Park), this was the closest we have gotten to the Station Fire that continues burning east of Mt. Wilson in the Angeles National Forest. The sky was hazy, with a hint of smoke, but we could not see anything that resembled thick black smoke, at least from our direction. After 2 hours at the L.A. Zoo, (A must for any trip to L.A.), we headed back to our hotel through the bumper to bumper traffic on the Harbor Freeway. Another wonderful day, with warm temperatures, light winds, and clear skies.
