* AT 501 PM CDT…NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE DOPPLER RADAR INDICATED HEAVY RAIN OVER OR MOVING INTO THE WARNED AREA. THIS WARNING EXTENDS THE FLASH FLOOD WARNING FOR JONES COUNTY. RADAR ESTIMATES THAT 1 TO 2 INCHES OF NEW RAIN HAS FALLEN ACROSS PARTS OF JONES COUNTY. SOILS ARE SATURATED ACROSS CEDAR AND CLINTON COUNTIES SO ANY NEW RAIN WILL RUN OFF RAPIDLY.

ADDITIONAL RAINFALL OF 1 TO 3 INCHES IS EXPECTED ACROSS CEDAR AND CLINTON COUNTIES. AN ADDITIONAL 1 OR 2 INCHES OF RAINFALL IS POSSIBLE ACROSS SOUTHERN JONES COUNTY.
BE ESPECIALLY CAUTIOUS AT NIGHT WHEN IT IS HARDER TO RECOGNIZE THE DANGERS OF FLOODING…ESPECIALLY WHILE DRIVING.
