Monday will likely be one of the warmest days of the next 7 with highs generally in the 80s with southerly winds. This will be ahead of a cold front that is forecast to move into the state on Tuesday bringing showers and thunderstorms through Thursday. Temperatures will settle back into the 70s to around 80 for the rest of the week with another chance of rain by late next Sunday. Nighttime lows will be in the 50s to around 60 through Sunday.

School will start this week for many districts across the state. Although a few did start last week, there should be no early dismissals due to heat. High School Football begins statewide (a few schools played this past Friday) and the weather should be excellent for Week 1.
