Lots of Showers and thunderstorms are traversing the state very early this morning. There is a squall line that had been severe out in Nebraska earlier that has now moved into the western part of the state. The squall line at 2:20am was located along a line extending from Harris to Cherokee to Little Sioux. The storms are generally moving to the east at 40mph. Another batch of light to moderate rain is located in the eastern part of the state, mainly east of Interstate 35 and south of US Hwy 20. Rainfall will generally be light with the activity in eastern Iowa, but locally heavy rain is possible with the squall line in the western part of the state through sunrise.
