The Storm Prediction Center has issued a Severe Thunderstorm Watch which is in effect until 1am Monday morning for the following counties, Benton, Buchanan, Cedar, Clinton, Delaware, Des Moines, Dubuque, Henry, Iowa, Jackson, Jefferson, Johnson, Jones, Keokuk, Lee, Linn, Louisa, Muscatine, Scott, Van Buren and Washington. Thunderstorms are currently moving through central and southwestern Iowa at this hour. These storms have been producing wind gusts up to 70mph. This will likely be the main threat with these storms with large hail being the secondary threat. Heavy rain is also a possibility with a Flash Flood Watch in effect until tomorrow morning for areas north of US Hwy 30.
