Streak Continues, Lamoni’s Ends

The streak of below average high temperatures continues for Cedar Rapids, Dubuque, Iowa City, Moline IL and Ottumwa. However, Lamoni had a high temperature yesterday of 87° which was 2 degrees above the seasonal average for August 3rd, thus their streak of below average temperatures has ended at 34 days going back to June 29th. The streak could be in jeopardy later in the week when a warm spell is expected to move in with highs forecasted to be close to or above 90. Cedar Rapids, Iowa City, Moline IL and Ottumwa had gone 37 days without a high temperature at or above the seasonal average (going back to June 27th). Dubuque’s streak is currently at 28 days going back to July 6th.
