The Storm Prediction Center has issued a Severe Thunderstorm Watch which is in effect until 7am for Fremont and Page Counties in SW Iowa. This watch extends westward into southern Nebraska. Thunderstorms with large hail and damaging winds will be possible in and close to the watch area during the overnight hours. Currently a few storms have fired in Fremont and Page Counties at a little past 1am. These storms, although not severe at this time, will likely produce some locally heavy rainfall.
