The Storm Prediction Center has issued a Tornado Watch which is in effect until 5pm. This replaces the Severe Thunderstorm Watch for some of the counties effected and has added a few more counties. The Counties in the watch include, Clayton, Fayette, Benton, Buchanan, Delaware, Dubuque, Iowa, Jackson, Jones, Linn, Cedar, Clinton, Johnson, Keokuk, Louisa, Muscatine, Scott and Washington.

A large supercell is moving through NE Iowa at this time and could have the capability of producing not only large hail and damaging winds but a few tornadoes as well!
The counties that aren’t in the tornado watch, but under the Severe Thunderstorm Watch are still in that watch which is still in effect until 5pm.
