* AT 744 PM CDT…TRAINED SPOTTERS AND DOPPLER RADAR INDICATED A LINE OF SEVERE THUNDERSTORMS CAPABLE OF PRODUCING DESTRUCTIVE WINDS IN EXCESS OF 70 MPH….AND GOLF BALL SIZE HAIL. THESE STORMS WERE LOCATED APPROXIMATELY ALONG A LINE EXTENDING FROM 8 MILES NORTH OF CENTER JUNCTION TO 20 MILES WEST OF MOUNT AUBURN…OR ALONG A LINE EXTENDING FROM 11 MILES NORTHEAST OF ANAMOSA TO 15 MILES SOUTHWEST OF WATERLOO…AND MOVING SOUTH AT 40 MPH.

THIS IS AN EXTREMELY DANGEROUS STORM CAPABLE OF PRODUCING
TORNADO-LIKE WINDS AND STRUCTURAL DAMAGE TO WELL BUILT BUILDINGS. MOVE INDOORS TO A SUBSTANTIAL SHELTER SUCH AS A BASEMENT OR INTERIOR ROOM OR HALLWAY.
THIS STORM HAS ALREADY PRODUCED WIND DAMAGE AND LARGE HAIL…AND IT REMAINS A THREAT.
