Severe Weather Then More Cold Air

Friday will be a turning point in the next week of weather in the state. A cold front is expected to move into the state Friday and will likely spark a few showers and thunderstorms. Some of these storms may become severe with large hail and damaging winds being the main threats with the activity. There could be some isolated heavy rain totals as well, but flooding is not expected. Behind the front, temperatures are expected to drop back to September like levels once more this weekend, with highs in the low to mid 70s and nighttime readings in the 50s. This is also expected to continue into next week with a few chances of showers and thunderstorms. Severe Weather is not expected with any of the activity next week as yet, but that could change as it draws closer.
