A large swath of light to moderate rain is moving through the western and central parts of the state late this afternoon. This could effect any firework displays that were scheduled to take place this evening (Dubuque especially). The rain is expected to last all night into tomorrow morning. Rainfall amounts could exceed an inch in some locations south of Interstate 80, with lighter amounts to the north. The rain should be out of the state early Saturday morning, with clearing skies taking place Saturday afternoon. There should be no weather related issues with regards to firework displays tomorrow night.
