Thunderstorms have formed along a line extending from Sabula to Oakville along the Mississippi River, then the storms become more scattered southwest of Oakville to Keosauqua. The storms are racing eastward at 35 mph. Numerous warnings are in effect in Jackson, Clinton, Scott, Muscatine, Louisa, Henry, Cedar and Des Moines counties. Some lighter showers were located west of these storms from Des Moines southward to Osecola and then southwestward along the Iowa Missouri border. These aren’t expected to become severe. The threat of severe weather will move out of the state in the next hour or so.
