There is a slight risk of severe weather for later today into tonight for the eastern 2/3rds of the state. The main threats from the activity that is expected to develop this afternoon into this evening, would be damaging winds with secondary threats of large hail and a possible tornado. Most of the storms will form along a cold front that is moving into the state. Heavy rain is possible with these storms, but Flash Flooding isn’t expected. Drier weather will move back into the state Sunday, with a few cooler days ahead as well. Highs will drop back into the lower 80s, with nighttime lows settling back into the low to mid 60s.
