The Storm Prediction Center has issued a Severe Thunderstorm watch that is in effect until 4pm for the following counties, Buena Vista, Cherokee, Clay, Dickinson, Ida, Lyon, O’Brien, Osceola, Plymouth, Sioux, Woodbury and Monona. A complex of thunderstorms over northeastern Nebraska and southeastern South Dakota will move into the northwestern parts of the state later this morning. The main threats will likely be strong damaging winds with a secondary threat of large hail.
