Severe Weather Returns?

The storm Prediction Center has issued the new outlooks for today Monday and Tuesday. There is a slight risk of severe weather on both days for parts of Iowa. This is in direct contradiction with what was posted yesterday, when SPC had no risk in the state for Monday and Tuesday. Monday’s risk is mainly for the southwestern parts of the state mainly south and west of a line from Missouri Valley to Bedford. Large Hail and damaging winds will be the main threats. Tuesday the risk expands to include the southwestern half of the state. Same threats as on Monday, large hail and damaging winds. This storm may also bring some possibly heavy rain to the state. An inch of rain is not out of the question if your location is under one of the thunderstorms that develops either on Monday or Tuesday. There will be a chance of thunderstorm throughout the week, but it’s not likely to be an all day rain and not every place is going to get rain every day. Temperatures will be close to average with highs generally in the upper 70s to upper 80s across the state, the cooler readings taking place early in the week.
