The National Weather Service has issued a significant weather advisory in southern Tama and northern Poweshiek counties until 4am. The strong thunderstorm was located near Grinnell and was moving to the east at 40mph. The strongest part of the thunderstorm will likely remain almost entirely in Poweshiek county. Wind Gusts to 45mph and penny sized hail are possible with this storm.
