All of Iowa, Severe Weather

Slight Risk Friday

There is a slight risk of severe weather for today and tonight (mainly for this evening and overnight) for parts of Iowa south of a line from Sioux City to the Quad Cities. Large Hail and damaging winds will be the main threats with any activity that develops. Storms will form along a cold front that is forecast to drop southeastward today across the state. Heavy rain will be possible but the storms will be fast moving, so flooding will be a minor threat with this event. There is also a slight risk of severe weather for areas mainly north of Interstate 80 on Sunday and south of the Interstate on Monday.
